Which Garmin gps systems would you recommend?
I’m buying a Garmin GPS system for my car. I need a decent system, not too fancy, with some good features and reasonable price (definitely below 0). What would you recommend?

Based on your info, there are few models that should fit your needs perfectly. Good choice for deciding to go for Garmin, though. Garmin is definitely king when it comes to GPS systems.
Now you probably can’t make a mistake with 255W model. It’s been a bestseller for years now on basically every online store. Buyers are simply crazy about this model. It has got decent features it’s very reliable, well designed and it’s around $90 I think. There is no other model on the market that will give you more for that kind of money. Also, consider 265W/265WT Widescreen model. This is, by many, the most well rounded Garmin GPS on the market. Buyers are crazy about this product for many reasons, but the most prominent ones are : design, compact size, features and display. More info: http://bestgarmingps.org/garmin-nuvie-265w265wt/
My personal choice would be 755/755T but it’s price is just a bit over $200 I don’t know if it’s too much for you. I bought it recently and it’s perfect so far. This is probably the most well designed, high quality GPS navigator on the market. It has numerous features that will make your life easier and IMHO it’s worth every cent. These models are bestsellers and are considered ‘best buys’ by many. For $100 – $200, you won’t find better Garmin GPS systems.
Wow, looking up the current price on this is amazing. I think I spent about $130 when I bought one a years ago. It is rugged, easy to use and read, and the database lookup is good in that you don’t have to know if it is "The Hospitality Place" or "Hospitality Place." The database itself is quite complete, and usually includes the phone number of businesses, which is a great thing when traveling.
The Newelectronx primo gps also reads the names of streets, well enough that you don’t have to look at the screen to navigate. I’ve taken it all over the US, Canada, Israel, and Mexico and it worked great, it also worked in downtown San Francisco where the buildings are tall.
It has avoidances you can set, including Toll Roads, U-Turns, or Highways (great for rush hour traffic) and can search for way points near your present location, destination, or route. This means you can use it to find a gas station near a car rental place to fill up, or a restaurant on your cross-country trek. I found the most amazing Greek restaurant on my first ever trip to Baltimore, a mile off our route.
I have recommended the model to 2 friends, and both have said they are very happy with theirs. I think it is an excellent value for the money, and the big 5 inch screen has more display room than you’d think. The controls are on the touch screen, and easy to find by touch, for the most part, which is handy if you need a direction repeated while driving. This is very common if you have a 4-year-old trying to talk to you in the car.
The battery life is pretty good, about 4-6 hours if you let the screen go dim, and the car charger and AC adapter both work well.
Look up the device that anyone recommends before you buy it. Some GPS devices are known for common defects. Take for instance Garmin. Garmin is actually known for defective batteries and some other small issues. You can look up all this information here in yahoo answers. For instance a small search like mine turned up these results. Don’t be alarmed about what you see or read. It is common. I did the same thing when I was buying my newelectronx primo gps. I read many reviews before I felt comfortable with buying from newelectronx. So, just take your time and read through the links provided below:
